The Tai Chi for Pregnancy course is a single follow-along Chen Tai Chi routine, built around the exercise guidelines for pregnancy. It covers warm-up, core movements, and three silk reeling sections — single-arm, double-arm, and pushing & pulling. The movements are slow, low-impact, and non-jarring, chosen to be safe to practice through every trimester. It is one routine, thoughtfully built, that you can return to across the nine months.

Chen Tai Chi Fundamentals teaches the posture, alignment, and structural principles that underpin every movement in the Chen style. Without this, the movements in the pregnancy routine are shapes to copy. With it, they become something you understand from the inside — you know why the weight shifts where it does, why the spine organizes the way it does, why the breath falls where it falls.

Silk Reeling — chansigong — is the continuous spiraling practice that is the hallmark of Chen Tai Chi. It distinguishes Chen from every other style, and it is the practice the pregnancy routine is drawn from. The full Silk Reeling course gives you the complete material to work with: far more to practice across the trimesters, and the foundation of a practice you can continue for years afterward.
